Unearth a Science Story Series is a three week program that explores historical earth science through books, discussion, and hands-on projects! Week 3: Geology Join us as we explore the many ways geology science has helped us learn about the earth’s surface. We will explore the STEM practices that scientists use to find and identify rocks and minerals. Scientists can tell so much about the earth’s layers by studying rock formations, volcanic activity and sediment changes over time. Put on your geology helmets and study rocks with us! For children entering grades 2 - 5. Adult caregivers must remain in the library during the program. All programs are FIRST COME – FIRST SERVED and space is limited.
