DARE TO DECLARE--a public reading of the Declaration of Independence – Coatesville Library

This special "Dare to Declare" event is a community-focused celebration commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026. This event features a public reading of the Declaration of Independence which includes reading the document and other historic, patriotic activities aimed at celebrating American freedom and local history. There will also be books to check out, relating to 18th century history and life. This reading of the Declaration will be recorded and then posted to our social media and You Tube pages to be viewed at a later date as well. This program is part of our America 250 Celebrations! This program supports Civic & Social as defined by the PA Forward Star Program
