Kennett-Unionville Titans — Youth Tackle Football

9U-11U:  We normally have Varsity and JV squads for Football, and only Varsity squads for Cheer. Varsity is competitive! Playing time is determined by skill, experience, involvement, and behavior. We want to put all the kids in a position to succeed so we try not to put kids with no experience, or who are ill equipped or unprepared, in a position to get hurt or dislike the sport. We try to put all first year and inexperienced players on JV teams where they can have fun, learn the sport and develop. Practices are 4 times per week before school starts (Mon-Thurs), 3 times a week during the season (Mon, Tues, and Thurs), and 1 game per week. 9U and 11U Varsity teams HAVE playoffs.  Players moving on to the next age group may be selected for an all star team. JV teams we don't have playoffs. 13U Programs - We understand that most kids that are 12/13 are in middle school and are MOST likely playing middle school football or cheer. The time commitment and ask for involvement is NOT as heavy for these athletes. If your child is playing in middle school, we also encourage them to play rec as well. Practices are 2 days a week, shorter than other practices and if you play middle school, talk with your coaches about attendance requirements.  In most cases, Middle School football games are short, and they don't offer kids a ton of playing experience as they want to get everyone involved. With Rec the games are usually twice the length of middle school games, and are usually more competitive than middle school.
